Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American actor, voice actress director producer, and vocalist. An attractive and intelligent actor, she is an example to many Asian actors who want to make it big in Hollywood. Her initial success was enhanced by her appearance on several popular television shows. In those shows, she played the villainous Ling Woo. Following her success, she landed major parts on the shows Shanghai Noon (1998) and Charlie's Angels (2000). After that, she delivered a stunning acting performance on Quentin Tarantino Kill Bill Volume 1 as Japanese crime-lord O Ren Ishii. In the same time frame she was the main character in a few flops in the field like Rise: Blood Hunter. Later, she became an actor in voice for animated films including Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason from Cashmere Mafia was a minor role that failed to have any impact. Southland was a critically acclaimed series of police dramas that featured Liu in recurring roles, helped her reestablish her as an actress. Liu is careful when choosing roles in order to prevent being stereotyped in a field that is highly competitive. Although she is very proud of her ethnicity, she does not let the fact that she is from China limit her creative abilities.
