Anita Ekberg
Anita Ekberg, a Swedish actress and actor who resided in Sweden from in the 1950s and 1970s. appeared in many European films and American ones. She is best known for acting in the film 'La Dolce Vita,' a comedy-drama film. The film received an Oscar as well as the Golden Palm at the Cannes Film Festival in 1960, and also was critically and commercially successful. Born in Skane, Sweden, she had a job as a fashion model prior to her acting career. She took home an award in the Miss Sweden competition. After that, she was transferred to the US after which she started appearing in films playing small parts. In the film 'Abbott & Costello go to Mars the actress was credited for her first part as in the character of Venusian. After appearing in 'Blood Alley her film, she took home the Golden Globe Award for 'Most promising newcomer.' In the course of her career, she was a part of various other movies, such as the film 'War and Peace', which is an American-Italian war movie 'War and Peace', the Western film 'Valerie' the British adventure crime film, 'The man inside as well as the French-Italian thriller 'The Dam On the Yellow River'. She died in 2015 at the age of 83.
